WATER QUALITY NOTICE

In December 2017, we had a chlorine regulator fail that caused a low chlorine event at our N. West St. plant.  While the chlorine was low at the plant as repairs were being made the operators failed to turn the chlorine monitoring equipment off, resulting in a low monitoring event.  The State required level of .50 mg/l was maintained in our system and all bacteriological samples returned safe, we were in violation of not maintaining a 0.25 mg/l residual at the plant.  The water was retested and met the state required standards before the plant was returned to service.
